In our more than 92 years of experience in the oil filled transformer business, we have learned that copper is a better conductor of electricity. True, some companies use aluminum, but why? Mostly because it's less expensive, allowing them to make a bigger profit. Copper has the highest electrical conductivity of all engineering materials, runs cooler than its aluminum equivalent, is easier to install, is more corrosion resistant, and has a less expensive life cycle.
